Rabbit breeding can make you millionaire
Many of us believe that V8s are the cars of big leaders and private companies, but even individual people buy and rides these cars.
We know individuals buy big buses, coaster cars, individual people own them, even if you want to own a V8 vehicle you can own it as individual one day.
Read this true story of a young man who graduated from Sokoine University of agriculture in Tanzania East Africa with a degree in Social Development, Mr. Riziki Gregory, who bought a used Land Cruiser V8 car for 90 million Tanzanian shillings equivalent to 10,000 USD he got from his rabbit breeding project in Morogoro region Tanzania.
When Mr. Riziki Gregory graduated from University, he was hired but his salary could not meet all his needs, so he started raising rabbits. The same rabbits you know he bought four female rabbits and one male.
A rabbit is pregnant for one month and then gives birth 4 to 12 children. She breastfeeds for one month, so every two months a rabbit can give birth 4 to 12 children.
This is how this young man's successful journey began. His four rabbits gave birth to five children. The first generation produced 20 rabbits. In the first phase, five children died from various causes, so he was left with 15 rabbits. Among these 15 rabbits, he had 9 females and 6 males.
This is where the project started to grow up, these 9 rabbits reached 8 months, he bred all 9 and the first two rabbits among the four rabbits he bought earlier the females rabbits .
11 rabbits gave birth to 4 children. On average, he got 44 rabbits. 8 rabbits died he remained with 36 rabbits. Now he has 36+9+4= 49 rabbits. He did not sell females, but only kills males for meat or sells males to someone who wants a male rabbit because there are many males fighting in the community shed.
Out of 49 rabbits, he found himself with 30 females. Now after 8 months, that is, the second year, he bred 30 rabbits and each rabbit gave birth to an average of five children. He got 30x5 = 150 rabbits. Every 3 months, he was producing 150 rabbits. In a year, he was producing 600 rabbits.
The following year he bred 50 rabbits every two months, so now in a year he was able to produce 50 rabbits x4 = 200 rabbits every two months, in a year he produced 200 rabbits x 5 = 1000 rabbits every year
At the same time, he started selling rabbits to customers who want to raise and eat rabbit meat.
The price of the rabbit he sold was Tsh 10,000 equivalent to 4 dollars for 4-month-old weaned rabbits, while the 8-month-old rabbit was sold for Tsh 15,000 that is equivalent to 6 dollars and the large slaughter rabbit was sold for Tsh 20,000 to 25,000 that is equivalent to 10 dollars depending on the weight of the rabbit in kilograms.
Now in a year he sold 600 rabbits equal to 600x5 dollars and 300 rabbits x6 dollars and one year old rabbits, 100 rabbits x 10 dollars
In a year he reaped a total of dollars that he invested in the bank's profit account, every year he invested 5000 USD.
Mr. Riziki Gregory, a rabbit breeder in Morogoro, had more than 35,000 dollars in shares that he bought in the bank, then the idea came to him why not break the record in his family to be the first person to buy a V8 car?
He went to Indian showrooms in Dar es Salaam and grabbed his V8 which he now rents to companies, and individuals who wish to use the car for weddings and other events.
